Su Beding Wedding Ya is the new single from UK based ensemble Grupo Elegua. Led by alto saxophonist, percussionist, composer and African folklore singer Kevin Haynes, Grupo Eluga create and perform a heady fusion of contemporary jazz, with influences ranging from Afro Cuban and native Nigerian Yoruba folkloric bata drumming styles, to Mandiga folk and praise songs, with a hard bop modal concept and flowing kora lines. The result is a truly one of a kind, exciting sound that has captivated audiences all around the world.
Taken from the forthcoming album Inner Outer Alignment due for release in September 2026, Su Beding Wedding Ya is the first instalment of a whole body of phenomenal music yet to come. The sound is vibrant and uplifting and based on what I heard from this one track, I am keen to hear more in September.

The second single release to bring to your attention is from rising UK jazz and soul artist Aria. She will release her brand new single Resentment on 7th August. Resentment was co-written with acclaimed songwriter and producer Sarah Gillespie, pianist and composer William Hobson and guitarist/composer Chris Montague. The single features Trish Clowes on saxophone and Poppy Daniels on trumpet, the release marks the next chapter for Aria as she builds toward her highly anticipated debut album, set for release on 25th September 2026, alongside a headline launch show at Pizza Express Live Soho on 21st September.
Over the last few years, Aria has performed at some of London’s most prestigious venues, including: Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho, The 606 Club, and Crazy Coqs for a sold out headline EFG London Jazz Festival show. Following her performance on the Free Stage at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2025, UK Jazz News described her as “an enticing talent” and “one to watch.” Nothing I heard from this single would lead me to argue with what UK Jazz News have written about Aria, she has a strong voice with something to say – and something will be worth listening to.
